Taking the digital sketch to canvas, I am trying to brighten up the original idea and make it a little more abstract. I am really taking advtange of the impasto effect of real paints and I am trying to layer really thick paint to get a variety of complex colors.A panorama that came out different than I expected; I really like the digitally mangled result.With the third pass on the painting, I am constantly reworking the flat shapes into more organically mixed smudges; I must ruminate tonight on the paintings progress, as I do not necessarily like how the abstract look is coming together in the big picture.There are, however, many parts of the painting with explosions of color and texture.
